Who is Vincent Kompany?
Vincent Kompany is the Belgian head coach of Bayern Munich, the two-time defending Bundesliga champions.
A commanding centre-back, he came through Anderlecht’s academy, played for Hamburg, then spent eleven seasons at Manchester City, eight as captain. He lifted City’s first league title in 44 years in 2012 and was that season’s Premier League Player of the Season.
He won 89 caps for Belgium over 15 years, captained them from 2010 and helped them to third place at the 2018 World Cup.
