Who is Pep Guardiola?
Pep Guardiola is the Catalan coach widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in history. He left Manchester City in the summer of 2026 and is now global ambassador of the City Football Group.
As a player he was the deep-lying playmaker of Johan Cruyff’s Barcelona “Dream Team” that won the club’s first European Cup in 1992, and he captained Barcelona from 1997 to 2001. He won 47 caps for Spain.
His first season in charge of Barcelona brought the treble, and he is one of only two managers to win the continental treble twice. He also holds the record for consecutive league wins in LaLiga, the Bundesliga and the Premier League.
